Condominium Unit and a Townhouse: Know The Difference

Boulder real estate and Longmont CO Real Estate are great places to look for a new home. The economy there is growing rapidly each year especially as Colorado is also home to huge technological manufacturing firms.  However, before you start your search make sure that you know the difference between a condominium unit and a townhouse. A condo unit is a part of a building.  When you purchase the unit, you also own a part of the common areas such as elevators, stairs, garage, and a yard if there is one.  You pay certain dues for its repair and maintenance.  Owning a townhouse is quite similar except that a yard or a garage is solely your responsibility and that you own the ground where your house is built.
